Pink Shirt Day February 22, 2017

PINK SHIRT DAY is on February 22nd, 2017. It will be a Civvies Day – students, staff and community members are encouraged to wear a Pink Shirt in support of Bully Prevention . The Pink Shirt Campaign this year encourages everyone to “Make Nice”  – ” We all have the capacity to be kind and compassionate, and our slogan acts as a friendly reminder that no matter what our differences, being nice is always a choice worth making.”               www.pinkshirtday.ca

This year at SAA, we are encouraging every class to take part in this inclusive initiative by brainstorming and creating their own class t-shirt about bully prevention.

T-shirts can be completed using images and words that promote positive interaction with everyone, being inclusive and remembering to treat others the way we wish to be treated.

Each class will receive a cut out of a pink shirt that students are invited to complete.  SAA’s PINK SHIRT DAY display will be proudly placed in the front of our school.

We thank all parents, teachers and students in advance for helping to promote  compassion at SAA and remind students that no matter what our differences, being nice is always a choice worth making.
