York Region Public Health provides support to schools as mandated by the Ontario Public Health Standards. Utilizing a comprehensive
school health approach, in alignment with the Ministry of Education’s Foundations for a Healthy School, we are committed to working
with you to promote student well-being through our Healthy Schools Program. Healthy Schools promote the physical, mental and social
well-being of the whole school community. They use a holistic approach where school administration, school staff, families, students
and community partners work together to create a healthy setting for living, learning and working.

SAA CES will be working alongside our public health nurse on a Healthy Schools Student Club and PLAY program (Peer Leadership for Active Youth- peer leads are trained and will run activities for the FDK-Grade 3 recess games and activities). #HealthySchool
