Anti-Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week November 18th-22nd

Next week, from November 18-22, we will be observing Bullying Prevention Week at our school, focusing on creating a caring and inclusive environment for all. This designated week provides us with an opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of kindness, friendship, and the responsibility we all share in keeping each other safe.

Throughout the week, students will participate in various friendship-focused activities designed to strengthen bonds, foster understanding, and encourage positive interactions. These activities will include group discussions, team-building exercises, and dedicated time for reflection on how our words and actions impact those around us. Together, we’ll focus on how friendship and kindness can become part of our daily lives, as we work to ensure everyone feels welcomed and valued.

Parents, please join us in reinforcing these values at home by talking with your children about the importance of kindness, empathy, and looking out for one another. Let’s continue to work together to build a school community where everyone feels safe, respected, and loved.

Please review the activities below (brought to you by the Intermediate Spirit Squad).

Monday, Nov. 18th – stomp out bullying, create a class pledge

Tuesday, Nov. 19th – wear your brightest socks and T-Shirt

Wednesday, November 20th – write a friendship note to a buddy

Thursday, November 21st – wear your favourite team shirt/jersey

Friday, November 22nd – spread kindness like confetti, messages

Thank you for your support in making this a meaningful week for everyone.
